leading minds

There are many definitions of leadership, (almost as many as there are courses and books on the topic) and many programmes labelled as leadership are in fact just management courses parading under a Leadership banner.

We believe that the difference between leadership and management only becomes clear when the environment in which a person operates becomes unpredictable and ambiguous.

Managers thrive where there is a well established route map, leaders emerge when we reach the edge of the map.

The Leading Minds programme is designed specifically for managers who have the core ability and the potential to become senior managers and directors. The focus of the programme is to examine how leaders think about themselves, their business, their teams, their capabilities and their options. Delegates learn to develop their natural or real leadership style, to decide and articulate the direction that their people take in a way that makes people want to follow.

Each module of the programme challenges the delegates to think through their own live issues differently: by comparing case studies engaging in business simulations, applying some of the latest models and presenting solutions for peer review they will develop their ability to think like a leader.

Teaching people how to act like a leader is easy, (there are many we can model) but authentic leadership comes from making the right decisions first then acting in such a way that people want to follow you.

Each module can be used as a stand alone course or can be combined as a programme (usually running over 12 to 18 months). The benefits of which can be rewarding.
