Developing assertiveness and self-confidence is fundamental to enjoying effective working relationships and achieving acceptable outcomes from a range of business situations.
This course will enable delegates to develop the self-confidence to express themselves assertively and understand the benefits assertiveness brings to the workplace. The course is ideal for those who need to develop their communication skills in order to deal with uncooperative individuals or difficult situations.
Delegates will learn the key skills of assertiveness and will learn techniques for developing their self-confidence, recognising their strengths and building their self-esteem. They will be encouraged to consider the effects of non-assertion, and learn to differentiate between assertiveness and aggression.
Using various exercises and role-plays throughout, this session will also enhance the delegates understanding and use of body language, whilst also enhancing other vital skills such as listening and use of the voice.
